We’ve talked for years about the coming digital transformation of healthcare. That transformation is happening now at Avaneer Health. We recently launched a new kind of network and platform, one that is the foundation of an entirely new digital ecosystem that allows us to reinvent better ways of working together.
Once a participant connects, they don’t need to build another direct connection to any other participant. This saves time and resources typically needed to build and maintain separate gateways to each trading partner. Participants have real-time access to the permissioned data they need, eliminating the need for call/response and batch data exchange processes. The network is designed to be FHIR-first for all use cases, making collaboration more straightforward.
The network acts as a conduit and pathway where participants can subscribe to, create, or implement solutions developed by other participants. Later this year, we will launch the Avaneer Solution Exchange™ where solution developers and innovators can leverage the network to more effectively deploy and scale solutions.
I invite you to join us as we work together to reinvent the business of healthcare!

Hey Tech, It’s Time to Build. In Healthcare.
Andreessen Horowitz
Is healthcare the next tech frontier? With companies such as Instacart and Spotify joining Amazon, Microsoft, and others to enter the space, it must be. And according to Andreessen Horowitz, it should be. While this thought-provoking article touches on the challenges these and other companies face as they seek their share of our multi-trillion-dollar market, it focuses most on why healthcare needs these tech companies. “The tech world produces visionaries who don’t accept that the ways things work today will be the way things work in the future.”
The Peril and Promise of the Rising Tide of Healthcare Data
HealthData Management
The rate at which health data is being generated is growing exponentially. The increase in new technologies and platforms “will enable data to be created more rapidly than ever before.” This insightful article looks at five overarching industry trends and how each will impact data, its use, and the advancement of interoperability. The article also explores how these themes may affect the patient experience and outcomes. How can the industry prepare for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead?
Evolution of Healthcare Interoperability: Then and Now
Healthcare Business Today
The lack of interoperability in healthcare is arguably one of the most significant challenges our industry faces. It’s one of the reasons why the U.S. spends significantly more on healthcare than other high-income nations but has poorer outcomes. The main drivers are administrative inefficiencies, such as billing, coding, and insurance. We need to stop focusing on building “faster horses” and look for ways to empower innovation and disruption to the business of healthcare administration.

Decentralized Network: How Does It Work?
In a previous blog, we introduced the concept of a decentralized network, its potential to completely change how payers and providers work together, and how innovators bring solutions to market. In Part II, we go a step further and delve into how a decentralized network works. We cover topics like security, data immutability, the future of healthcare innovation, and the transformation of the patient experience.
